Chris Knox '99 Named Varsity Wrestling Coach

Calvert Hall is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Knox '99. Knox will inherit the wrestling program and looks to be a top contender in the MIAA "A".
A 1999 graduate, Chris and his family have a strong bond to The Hall. His grandfather, Gregory Lee, is Class of 1925, his brother, Greg, is Class of 1992, and his nephew is soon to join the Cardinal legacy. Knox and his brother are the last two student-athletes from Calvert Hall to be named National Prep Champions.

Knox was a two-time MIAA and Maryland Independent School Champion. He was named a two-time Baltimore Sun 1st team All-Metro selection. He placed 4th at the 1998 Junior Nationals in Fargo, MD, and was the only Marylander to earn All-American that year. He is the only Asics Tiger All-American from The Hall. Knox helped Calvert Hall to its only wrestling MIAA Championship in 1998.

After Calvert Hall, Knox went on to wrestle at Arizona State University, where he competed for one of the nation's top NCAA Division I programs. He wrestled all four years at ASU and placed 4th at the Sunkist Kids International Tournament. Since graduating, he has coached wrestling for the past 20+ years, including recent stints with Fallston Jr. League and Calvert Hall.

Knox holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Arizona State University and an MBA from Cornell University.
